Job sites with their own geofence
Each site has an address, a map pin and a radius from 50 m to 1 km. The Job Sites view shows the week by site, so you can see which crew is where. Shared shifts let a crew move between sites mid-week.

Crew scheduling by job site, with GPS time tracking
Schedule crews to job sites, not just to days. A geofence around each site blocks clock-ins from the truck, a locked tablet in the trailer gives the crew one place to punch, and approved hours export straight to Ceridian, ADP Canada or QuickBooks.
What gets in the way
Where the week falls apart
Hours are written on a clipboard in the truck
Foremen submit paper timesheets on Friday, from memory, and the office re-types them.
Clocking in from the parking lot
Without a geofence, "on site at 7:00" means whatever the phone says.
Workers without a company phone
When not everyone has a phone on site, punches end up on paper or on someone else’s phone.

Blocked off-site clock-ins, enforced on the server
Choose to flag or to block a clock-in outside the geofence. The rule is enforced in the database, not only in the app, and workers who genuinely need an exception request a geofence override the foreman approves.
A shared tablet in the site trailer
Lock a tablet in the trailer as the crew’s time clock, with employee IDs and PINs. It needs a signal to take a punch; if the signal drops while a punch is saving, the tablet keeps it and saves it when the signal returns.
Exports for Canadian payroll
Export approved hours as Ceridian/Dayforce or ADP Canada CSV, or sync time activities to QuickBooks Online. Hours by Job Site gives you the cost per project.

FAQ
Questions from teams in construction
Does GPS drain the crew’s phones?
Location is checked only at the moment of clock-in and clock-out. There is no continuous tracking.
Can we track certifications like Working at Heights or WHMIS?
Yes. Certifications carry a number and an expiry date, and the "expiring soon" filter shows who needs a renewal before the next job.
Can hours be reported per project?
Set each project up as a job site. The Hours by Job Site report and the CSV exports break hours down by site.
